God created light first and divided it from darkness, establishing a cosmic and spiritual order. This light symbolizes God’s life and truth shining in a world tainted by darkness due to Lucifer’s fall. Darkness cannot comprehend or overpower the light, affirming the supremacy of God’s Word.
As followers of Christ, we are called to live in the light — representing truth, righteousness, and spiritual life. Serving ourselves is equated to serving darkness, but living by God’s Word places us firmly as children of the day, empowered by His light.
Salvation is more than verbal confession; it involves receiving Christ’s Word into our hearts so that it transforms us and empowers us to live as God’s children. The Word plants a seed that grows and changes us from within.
The message stresses that being involved religionally or intellectually knowing the Bible is not enough; true fellowship involves hearing, recognizing, and obeying God’s voice. Christ seeks those with His Word at their core, not merely outward religious works.
